TOWIE star Joey Turner says he is ‘7.5st, happy and healthy’ and insists he is not starving himself
Joey Turner has insisted he is ‘happy and healthy’ after fans grew worried by his slimmed-down appearance.
The former TOWIE star, 20, who weighs 7.5 stone, stressed that he ‘can’t help being skinny’ – and isn’t starving himself.
Speaking to The Sun to set the record straight, Joey said: ‘I weigh seven and half stone, but I don’t weigh myself. I don’t care about how much I weigh. I am skinny, I can’t help that I am skinny. I am not going to apologise to anyone.’

In Instagram posts of late, the reality star has appeared slimmer than usual, something which his 37,400 followers quickly noted.
However, Joey, who at 5ft 11ins has ‘always had a long, thin frame’, reaffirmed that there was nothing to worry about, seeing as he eats what he believes is a healthy diet.
During a typical day, Joey will enjoy a bowl of Special K, a salad for lunch and sushi for dinner. When out, he drinks vodka with water.

‘I don’t eat loads. I am not really a foodie, that’s not me being anorexic, I just don’t care to participate in gluttony,’ he remarked.
The fashion lover – who said that his friends and family are aware of his eating habits and are not worried – questioned the double standards of body positivity, rhetorically asking if it just applies for bigger people.
Of the concern sparked about his thinner frame, Joey said he did understand, but has no intention of censoring his content and instead wants to embrace his body.
‘To put it bluntly – I can’t help being skinny. I am happy, healthy and have supportive people around me,’ he concluded.

The healthy and happy claims come after Joey hit back at fans who expressed concern at his appearance on Saturday.
The TV star, who left The Only Way Is Essex five months ago, sparked worry among his followers with slender modelling shots captioned with the word ‘heroin’.
Joey faced the blacklash and said he was ‘not a role model’ as well as sharing a snap of Kirsten Dunst dressed as Marie Antoinette with the caption: ‘let them eat cake.’

In a separate statement, Joey defended his modelling photos and said: ‘I am not your role model.
‘If I’m honest I’m not phased by the comments, I just want those who are about me to know I’m okay.
‘I don’t care about the comments simply because it’s hard to care for the opinions of people that know nothing about me, my diet, my metabolism or my medical history with my weight.
‘I’m a 20-year-old student, I’m not on TV. I’m a student like any other and I am not your role model, so if you want someone to look up to I suggest putting someone else on a pedestal because I am not him.’
