Sophie joins Kate and Camilla on Remembrance Sunday ceremony as Queen pulls out
Sophie looked respectfully sombre as she fell silent to honour the fallen during today’s service. Her husband Prince Edward took part in the commemorations from the foot of the Cenotaph alongside her siblings Prince Charles and Princess Anne.
The Countess, who has often been described by royal commentators and insiders as one of the Queen’s favourites, stepped out of her residence in Surrey to attend the first major royal gathering in months.
The service was also attended by the Duchesses of Cornwall and Cambridge and Princess Anne’s husband Vice-Captain Sir Tim Laurence.
